Hello, I'm Alicia, but you can call me Alice
I was born in sunny Spain, on the outskirts of Barcelona, twenty minutes away from the "Sagrada Familia" by metro.
I graduated as an English Philologist at the Universtat de Barcelona in 2008 where I discovered that my passion for ghosts and scary stories had a name: Gothic Literature.
I have been teaching English as a second language for more than twenty years, ten of which were in my own academy that I ran with my husband until the Pandemic hit us and we finally did the so desired shift to the online.
However, the new world, career reality and our family dynamics dealing with a chronic illness and bringing up two young boys, made me turn my energies to my old passion for Gothic Literature and recently towards Jungian psychology.
It has been a long process, as I had to endure a long journey of self-awareness and self-recognition that nobody had told me about.
That's how I created my "Gothic-Jungian Therapeutic Writing Center", as a way to help others transition difficult moments in life.
I trully believe that the three main pillars to self-help are: "Self-Awareness, Critical Thinking and Self-Expression," which we we can work on through this very peculiarGothic-Jungian lens.
After co-writing a book with four other mother writers called Diario para madres escritoras II, un nuevo comienzo, and after being part of various projects and seminars around the archetype of the Great Mother, my mission has become clear: help others find the way to reconnect with themselves during their transitions through the analysis of Gothic Literature, or artistic productions with Gothic elements, dream journaling and memoir writing.
