Hello, I'm Alicia, but you can call me Alice
I was born in sunny Spain, on the outskirts of Barcelona, twenty minutes away from the "Sagrada Familia" by metro.
I graduated as an English Philologist at the Universtat de Barcelona in 2008 where I discovered that my passion for ghosts and scary stories had a name: Gothic Literature.
I have been teaching English as a second language for more than twenty years, ten of which have been in my own academy that I ran with my husband until the pandemic hit us and we went 100 per cent online.
I have been looking for meaning all my life and while I have found it at different times, certain events triggered a more profound search to find answers my inquisitive brain keept asking.
The pandemic changed us all in many different ways. For me this change has been a journey of self-recognition through my passion for the Gothic, neuroscience and Jungian psychology.
Finding meaning, decoding the inner messages and how they are triggered by the outside world is what has recently taken me to study analytical psychology, which I explore through Gothic and Horror texts and productions.
As a linguist, academic and literary nerd I help writers, researchers, professionals from different backgrounds and curious people, in general, to bring clarity to their lives and learning journeys. I sometimes do that in my coaching sessions with them and other times I do it by writing, submiting and presenting papers for different calls.
There's always something to learn, there's always something new to discover. It's only when we truly have a word with our Shadow-Self, and start understanding what happens inside our unconscius mind, that we can help others find their path too.
